Architecture and Economic Interests: What is Happening with our Cities?: BOOK LAUNCH IN BRAZIL, 15 MAY 2014.

Adriana Portella is an Architect and Urban Planner graduated at Federal University of Pelotas in Brazil (UFPel), has a Masters Degree in Urban and Regional Planning at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil (UFRGS), Ph.D. in Urban Design at Oxford Brookes University and Post-Doc in Planning at the Bartlett School of Planning, both in England.

She has been working in research since 1997, and has been carried out investigations in different subjects such as architecture, planning, urban design and environmental psychology. Her publications are mainly related with the following topics: user perception and cognition of the built environment, preservation of historic heritage, chromatic analysis, wayfinding, aesthetic evaluation, space syntax, social segregation, and urban density.
